A WEST Kirby restaurant and Wirral CIC have launched a project to help local children overcome personal difficulties.

Wirral restaurant The Good Hood and charity Break The Mould have partnered to offer free ‘It’s All Good In The Hood’ parties where they provide food, drink, and games for children in the area.

Their first event, which was held on August 30, saw more than 20 children attend including those who have dealt with challenging upbringings, battling disabilities and helping others.

Break The Mould CIC, which offers sport, activities and education for local children, received nominations for children who deserved a party.

Kris Leigh from Break The Mould CIC said: “It’s been so heartwarming to celebrate these amazing children and throw them a fantastic party — they truly deserve it.

After such a successful first summer holiday event, there will be future events for more children in the Christmas and Easter holidays.
