A BUS has been taken out of service after a window was smashed by vandals.

The vehicle was damaged after being taregted on Old Chester Road, on Thursday, August 11.

Police have not yet issued further details about the incident but have shared images of the damaged Stagecoach bus, which had a window smashed.

In a statement, police said: "Due to criminal damage and ASB (anti-social behaviour) on Old Chester Road yesterday (Thursday), the Wirral now has one less bus this weekend.

"Officers are working hard to resolve this disruption.

"Please remember that police can turn up at any point and anytime, even be on your next bus or at your stop."
