TRAVELLERS who have set up camp around Stoke Gardens/McGarva Way, Ellesmere Port have been served notice to leave by the council.

Reports have been growing over the past week for the authorities with other notices being given in Chester Road, Wolverham Park and Rossmore Road West.

The group in Wolverham Park remained beyond their notice period so a request is to be made for a court hearing.

The travellers arrived at Stoke Gardens and McGarva Way on 08 August (Monday) and have been directed to leave by 3pm on 11 August.

Cheshire West and Chester Council have ordered them to leave due to the land being council owned.

It is said that there are 10 caravans at the location.

In order to ensure public hygiene, portable toilets are to be provided. This does not affect the progress of the legal process in any way.
