A SHOPPING centre in Liscard teamed up with The Royal British Legion to celebrate Armed Forces Week by holding an art competition with local schools.
Cherry Tree Shopping Centre worked with Wirral primary schools which created themed posters which were then displayed in the centre.
The winning schools were; in 1st place – Liscard Primary School, in 2nd place – St Albans Primary School, and in 3rd place – Park Primary School.
Both first and second place winners were awarded trophies with sweet packs given to the runners up which were provided by local sweet shop Heidi’s in Wallasey Village.
Ruth Kavanagh, Centre Administrator at Cherry Tree Shopping Centre, said: “We love teaming up with the Royal British Legion and local schools on this lovely community project.
“A massive thank you to all the schools who entered and a well done to all the fantastic children who produced amazing artwork.”
The artwork will remain on display at the Centre for the next week.
