COULD you be the one to give Peggy the forever home she is looking for?

The two-year-old German Shepherd, currently being looked after by staff at Dogs Trust Merseyside, is described as a young and sweet girl who has a sensitive side.

She is very curious and intrigued by new surroundings and situations, but can be initially wary. She has already shown great progress, as she settles in more and more each day, she will just need a patient family.

As long as her new family take things slowly with her, she should settle in beautifully. She likes to play with toys and play fetch, which is a great way to build a bond with her.

Wirral Globe:

Peggy hasn't been well socialised with other dogs, so she can be very worried by them. She will need to be the only dog in the home, but she would highly benefit from a family who are happy to continue gently socialising her with canine companions.

She is currently happy to go for walks with other dogs at a distance, and that's the best way to start her socialisation at home.

Peggy is used to having company all day, so would love for a family who can be around for most of the time.

She is able to live with children aged fourteen and over. Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside manager said: "Peggy is a sweetheart, who will soon show her new family her amazing personality, once she comes out of her shell.

"She is a smart girl, who has already picked up some basic training, and will no doubt learn new things very quickly! She’ll be a wonderful addition to a family who can give her the time and devotion she needs."
