Wirral Globe Best Of 2022 top six breakfasts revealed

WE’VE had hair, pies and nails, followed by pubs and fish and chips in our Best of 2022 competition.

Next up we wanted to know where to go for the best breakfast in Wirral.

Whether it’s a simple bacon sandwich, thick cut toasted bread with butter and jam or a full English – the choice of what to have for breakfast is endless.

Everyone has their favourite breakfast items but we want to know where in Wirral serves the best food to start the day.

Do you prefer your eggs scrambled, poached or fried?

Would you add ketchup or brown sauce to a bacon sandwich?

We wanted you to tell us which restaurant, café or pub provides the best breakfast in town, whether it was somewhere offering a sit down table service or a quick takeaway option from a roadside truck – the choice was yours!

We’ve shortlisted the top six, who will battle it out to be named Best Breakfast in Wirral.

Now we need your help to choose an overall Best for Breakfast winner from our shortlist.

There are three ways to vote:

1. Search for the Best Of post on our Wirral Globe Facebook or Instagram pages and comment under the post with the name of your winner = 1 vote

2. Name your favourite in the comments section on this article via our website = 2 votes

3. Purchase a copy of this week’s Wirral Globe (June 15 edition) and fill in the entry form = 5 votes

Voting officially opens today, Thursday, and closes at midnight on Monday and we will be announcing the winner next week.

Offering “good food at sensible prices”, Amor Café was a popular choice.

With one nomination saying the family-run business on Church Road “does some fantastic breakfasts” and another saying she treated her mum to breakfast where they enjoyed “amazing service with an equally amazing atmosphere” it had to make our shortlist.

Bluebells in Wallasey

Bluebelles Tea Room, The Grange, is run by 'Best Bites' - a service provided by Wirral Evolutions, which gives training in hospitality and catering to the people they support.

With “friendly staff and a gorgeous breakfast” it’s in the top six.

They offer full English breakfasts with a vegetarian option and the poached eggs on toast is also a hit with hungry visitors.
