COMMUNITY radio station Wirral Wave is celebrating its third year of broadcasting.

The station first broadcast in June 2019 from West Kirby before moving to Make CIC in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead in 2021.

A spokesperson said the station has gone from strength to strength over the past three years, including going from three presenters to twenty-six who each cover a wide range of shows from music to local events to mental well-being and mind-fulness.

Its range in music grows from country to jazz, blues and pop with everything from the 1920s to current top one-hundred, promising something for everyone.

Through sponsorship and public donations, the station - which is staffed entirely by volunteers - has been able to provide an "uninterrupted selection of shows and music".

Thanks to being an internet station, its listenership is able to connect from all corners of the world.

Station manager Paul Harris said: "We are so proud to be the community radio voice for The Wirral, as well as providing great entertainment over the past couple years and for many years to come".

To view its schedules visit the station's website, www.wirralwave.co.uk where you can also listen to us live or you can simply ask Alexa to "Play Wirral Wave".

To celebrate its third anniversary, the station would love to hear from you.
