BEBINGTON Dramatic Society's next production - the stage adaptation of hit BBC comedy The Vicar of Dibley - starts its run tonight (Tuesday, June 7).

The production - at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight until Saturday - is a combination of episodes from series one and two, as well as an Easter Special.

It starts with the arrival of Dibley's new vicar Geraldine’s in the village, and ends with the wedding of Hugo and Alice.

It features your favourite characters from the series: Jim Trott, who can't string a sentence together; Frank Pickle, the world’s most boring man; Letitia Cropley, the Queen of Cordon Bleu; Hugo Horton, who thinks Kylie Minogue should be Prime Minister; Alice Tinker, who makes Hugo Horton look intelligent; Owen Newitt, local farmer and a complete stranger to personal hygiene, and David Horton - snobbish and bad tempered.

Performances of The Vicar of Dibley will start at 7.30pm. All tickets are £9 and can be booked through the Gladstone Theatre website at https://gladstonetheatre.org.uk/events/the-vicar-of-dibley.

Bebington’s next production will be Alan Ayckbourn’s Christmas comedy Season's Greetings which will run at the Gladstone from November 16-19.
