FROM street parties and house decorations to fancy dress and 40s singers, residents from across the borough have been celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in all manner of ways over the special bank holiday weekend.

Residents in nearly 80 Wirral streets have been given the green light to stage street parties celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Special traffic orders have been put in place which will allow 78 locations to be closed to traffic while street parties take place at various times between Thursday, June 2, and Monday, June 6.

Bouncy castles, life-size cardboard cut-outs of her majesty, and copious amounts of party food and drink have been taking over the streets of Wirral as residents have come together to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years of ruling the monarch.

We asked Globe readers to send us their best pictures of the jubilee fun and selected the best to share with our readers.
