A MUM-OF-THREE was left speechless after a selfless gesture reminded her of the good of people in St Helens.

Dannielle Birch, from Haydock, said that she and her cousin had their hands full dealing with their four young children, as they ordered meals from Haydock Plaice chippy, Sherlock Avenue on Sunday, May 15.

After the stress of caring for two young children, Dannielle said that she had been feeling down recently and has had a difficult couple of weeks.

The weekend trip out was a chance to get out of the house and treat themselves as a family, and they had a brief encounter with a woman as they calmed the children down in their prams outside the chippy.

However, on their return to the shop, the pair found that this woman had paid for all of their meals as a random act of kindness.

Sharing her experience online, Dannielle said she wanted to thank the woman from the "bottom of her heart".

Dannielle said: "We both haven't had the best of weeks and have been feeling down, we met up today to get the kids to the park for an hour so we both did something different, [rather] than sitting at home dwelling on the bad times.

"To be told that some random kind lady has paid for our food has honestly made our whole week. It put a massive smile on our faces and restored our faith in humanity.

"It made both of our days."
