A SECOND man is wanted in connection with an attack in Moreton that left the victim hospitalised with slash wounds.
At around 9.50pm on Sunday (May 8) police were called to a report that a man had been attacked at an address on Meadfoot Road.
It was reported that the victim left the property and walked into a pub on Netherton Road before heading to Moreton Cross.
Police spotted the man a short time later on Hoylake Road.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital with slash wounds.
A 36-year-old man from Birkenhead was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault. He has been bailed as the police investigation continues.
The vicitim has been released from hospital.
