BIRKENHEAD music venue, Future Yard, is hosting a live music event in support of Ukraine.

The charity concert lineup will see Merseyside acts performing on the Argyle Street stage.

Merseyside mega-star Zuzu headlines the evening, supported by Belarusian-born, Liverpool-based, rapper Russell and nostalgic-pop duo Dreampark.

The event will take place on March 16 at 7pm and all proceeds from the gig will go towards Help Ukraine, a charity run by Ukrainian providing humanitarian aid to the most affected regions in the country.

Posting on their website, Future Yard said: “Supporting our community through live music is at the heart of what we do at Future Yard, and we are always grateful for the opportunity to share this passion with you all.

“Music, and the arts in general, can only thrive in free nations, so seeing communities in other parts of the world struggling for peace is affecting us deeply.

“As the conflict in Ukraine continues, we would like to extend our support to the country’s citizens and the Ukrainian communities in Merseyside with this fundraiser concert on 16th March with the aim to celebrate, and show solidarity with, the people of Ukraine.”

Tickets are £10 and can be bought here.
