DETECTIVES have issued CCTV images of a man who could have information that may assist with their enquiries following a sexual assault on a bus in Liverpool city centre.

At around 7.30pm on Friday, December 3 2021, a female was on the 21 bus at Queens Square bus station when a man touched her inappropriately.

The man got off the bus in the Islington area.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect responsible, and detectives have issued images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.

Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: "We take reports of sexual assault very seriously, and we are very keen to speak with anyone with information about the incident which took place.

"This was an extremely traumatic experience for the victim, and we are working hard to ensure that the person responsible is identified.

"I am also appealing for people to come forward if you recognise the male featured in these images.
