FIREFIGHTERS have issued guidance to the public following a chimney fire at a house in Cuddington.

A crew from Northwich were called to the scene on Sandy Lane at around 9.30pm on Friday, January 21.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service had received reports of a chimney being on fire at the property.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters scanned the full length of the internal chimney stack with a thermal imaging camera.

"They then used water to make the chimney safe.
