A NORTHWICH construction firm is delighted to announce St Luke's Hospice as the winner of its Christmas community appeal.

Petty Pool Construction gave Cheshire-based community groups and charities the chance to win a day of construction work free of charge.

It’s an exciting project for the much loved Winsford-based healthcare facility and will make the premises an even more comfortable place for patients, employees and visitors.

As a result of the winning bid, a team of builders will now undergo a project of the hospice’s choosing.

St Luke’s hasn’t been able to fundraise in the usual way given lockdown restrictions, so Petty Pool Construction is particularly happy to be making a difference for the hospice which has over 1,000 patient referrals a year.

Ben Starkey at Petty Pool Construction said: "St Luke’s Hospice is just one local cause that does wonders for people in the community.

"Our #HelpingCheshire giveaway is a way of saying thank you and showing our appreciation for them supporting so many families."

Claire Langston, from St Luke's Hospice said: "We’re so pleased to be the lucky winning project for this appeal.

"We’re always looking at ways we can improve our premises to make it an even more supportive place for everyone who spends time here.

"I’m confident that the team at Petty Pool Construction will do a fantastic job when they work their magic for our fundraising team.

"We can’t wait to see the result."

Petty Pool Construction, based in Whitegate, has over 20 years of experience building new properties and renovating, converting and extending old ones.
