An award-winning children’s author is set to visit schools across the borough this month.
Vashti Hardy, is due to visit pupils in Wirral schools on January 17 as part of a promotional tour for her new book, Harley Hitch and the Missing Moon.
Hardy, who won the Blue Peter Book Award in 2020, will also be visiting Bear Hunt Books and Toys in Bebington for a public book signing event on Monday, January 17 at 6pm.
Michelle Peters, from Bear Hunt Books and Toys said: "It is such a spectacular joy to host a visit from Vashti Hardy, I adore her books.
"It is even more of a joy as we have only been open since October 2021."
The children of Wirral are so lucky, Vashti writes totally amazing adventures and her characters are really cool.
Writing books inspired by STEM, previous books include Brightstorm and its sequel Darkwhispers, Wildspark, Crowfall and the Harley Hitch series for younger readers.
Brightstorm was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2019 and Wildspark won the Blue Peter Book Award (Best Story) in 2020.
