THE UK's biggest indoor funfair opens this weekend in Liverpool with organisers promising a fun-filled family event this Christmas in line with the latest government regulations.

Indoor Funfair, at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, is the city’s first large scale family event to take place since last week’s announcement.

There’s unlimited access to more than 25 rides during each session including thrill rides and traditional funfair favourites as well as the UK’s largest travelling funhouse. New attractions include the Superstar, Superbowl and Fighter.

Thousands of people have already bought tickets and organisers are providing a fun experience for everyone in a safe environment.

John Lowery, director of Indoor Funfair, said: “We’re excited to be coming back to Liverpool for the third time this year and although things are a bit different, we’re looking forward to welcoming our 100,000th visitor.

“We’ve got rides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy and it’s all under one roof from December 18 and into the New Year.

“For those attending, anyone aged 18 or over will need proof of vaccination or proof of a negative lateral flow or PCR test within 48hrs. All those aged 12 and over are required to wear a face covering unless seated for eating and drinking, participating on the rides or fully exempt.

“Set across 90,000 sq. ft, we’re still the biggest indoor funfair in the UK so there’s still plenty of space for everyone to enjoy this festive extravaganza.”

Pre-booked tickets cost £10 per session for unlimited access to rides with spectator tickets priced at £3. There is also a special online offer of four riding wristbands for £36. Refreshments and any prize games are not included in the ticket price.

Sessions run daily from 10am-1pm; 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm and people are advised to arrive 30 minutes before.

Between 6pm – 9pm on 18th December and 10am-1pm on Sunday 2nd January there’ll be autism-friendly sessions for those with sensory needs where the venue lights will be switched on, music will be turned down, ride lights switched off and rides slowed where possible.
