A WIRRAL woman will switch on her Christmas lights again for Wirral Hospice St John's this afternoon.

Kim Lawton's home on Wirral Mount, West Kirby will be illuminated in aid of the charity at 4pm

The switch-on takes place at 4pm. Special guest will be Father Christmas.

Looking forward to the switch-on, Kim told the Globe: "I've been doing a display for St John's for three years now.

"Previously I'd always gone overboard and all the children in Black Horse Hill Infants School where I work think I really do know Santa!

"I'm known now as Crazy Kim as I decorate the house completely overboard for every occasion.

"St John's is such an underfunded charity it would really help.

"We raised over £1,000 pounds last year and we want to do more! We also raised money for the wirral food bank and we were a donation point."

Kim continued: "The hospice is an amazing place. I don't think it gets enough recognition compared to other charities and they do such amazing work!

"I've had friends who have had loved ones cared for in the hospice and the staff go above and beyond. What a tough job."
