SIX people have been arrested and emergency service workers were reportedly assaulted following a disturbance at a hotel.
The incident occurred shortly before 10.45pm on Friday, when police were called to the Villagio Hotel on Folly Lane in Bewsey.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes to find a disturbance involving a number of people inside the building.
Police swiftly dispersed the group and arrested six people – three men and three women aged between 20 and 30-years-old – on suspicion of violent disorder.
Four of those people were also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said that they are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
They also said that at this stage, there are no reports of any injuries, and that enquiries are ongoing.
Sergeant Lee Hillyard, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “This is believed to be an isolated incident.
“I would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.
“If you witnessed the disturbance or have any information which could assist the investigation, then please do get in touch.”
