Karen Howell, chief executive of Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, writes for the Globe.

SHARING your feedback, your thoughts, and your reflections about services you use here at the Trust helps us to learn from what we do well and to change or improve our services when things could have gone better.

By telling us about your experiences you are helping us to deliver the services and care that you want.

There are many different ways you can share your thoughts with us here at the Trust and I invite you to get involved.

Join the INVOLVE Group

The INVOLVE group is made up of local young people across Wirral who support us to develop and sustain services that support the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.

We have over 20 active members, aged 13-19, who meet regularly. The group meetings are informal, interactive and fun.

You can read more about the INVOLVE Group on our website: www.wchc.nhs.uk

Join the Your Voice Group

The Your Voice Group gives you the opportunity to share your voice with health and care staff at the Trust and have direct dialogue on the things that are important to you and your communities.

The group meets bi-monthly and helps drive and improve the experiences of local people and their families who access our services.

The group includes members of the public, public governors and Trust staff. For more information about the group, or to get involved, email wchc.membership@nhs.net

Feedback questionnaires

Our short questionnaires give you the opportunity to share your experience of a service in a quick and easy to follow online form, which can be read aloud to you or magnified to suit specific needs and is available in an easy read version.

Our questionnaires help to capture feedback across both our adult and children’s services. You can access the feedback questionnaires on our website: www.wchc.nhs.uk.

You can also complete a paper version of the questionnaire - just ask any of our reception staff.

Healthwatch Wirral

Healthwatch helps to shape and improve local health and social care services across England, gathering comments from local people and looking at how well local services are performing.

Their reports are shared with the people who have the power to make changes to services.

The Healthwatch online feedback centre enables the public to provide information about all health and social care organisations in the local area.

Speak out and use Healthwatch Wirral’s feedback centre on their website: www.healthwatchwirral.co.uk

Your feedback comes in all shapes and forms and every piece is as valuable as the last. We thoroughly enjoy hearing your positive experiences.

Here are just a few examples of recent feedback across our services:

"First class, professional, caring, compassionate service for which I am very grateful. Cannot praise it enough." - Bladder & Bowel Service.

“Amazing care and compassion, did more than was asked, over and above their remit, ultimate praise for Kathryn." - Community Integrated Response Team – Rapid Community Response.

"Care has been outstanding all the way through, listens well and it compassionate. Puts me at ease when anxious and helped me move forward. Help night and day." - Community Intermediate Care Centre (Bluebell Ward).

If you have something to say, share it. It does make a difference - we want to hear from you!
