A BRAND-new show celebrating one of the greatest high-energy, rock and roll bands of the 1970s is coming to the Blue Lounge at New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion.

Coming from Open Hand Productions - the team behind acclaimed tribute acts such as Mothership (Zeppelin), Eclipse (Pink Floyd) and Court and Spark (Joni Mitchell) - the show is a tribute to heavy rockers Deep Purple.

Formed in 1968, Deep Purple are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock and featured such legendary players as Richie Blackmore, Jon Lord and Ian Gillan.

Tribute act Burn play a huge range of the band’s material, including all the songs you might expect to hear such as Black Knight, Highway Star, Woman from Tokyo, Child in Time and Space Truckin’ but in addition they explore the band’s later albums, featuring David Coverdale and Glen Hughes, including You Fool No One, Might Just Take Your Life and Stormbringer.
