The Post Office is to re-open Birkenhead Post Office at a new location next month.
Birkenhead Post Office is due to open on 6 Princes Pavement, Grange Precinct on Thursday, November 11.
The premises at 6 Princes Pavement, which was the former William Hill book makers shop, is currently empty.
Karl Haddon, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to central Birkenhead as we know how important a Post Office is to residents and businesses.”
WHSmith made the decision to close its store at 37 Borough Pavement, The Grange Precinct Shopping Centre, Birkenhead, CH41 2XX, where Birkenhead Post Office was based, in June.
In the interim there are alternative branches at Birkenhead Hamilton Square and Oxton Village.
The opening hours will be Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 12 noon.
