A new treasure hunt trail has been created in Heswall in the hopes of bringing a fresh view to the history of the village.
The Heswall Soceity’s new Family Treasure Hunt is aimed at families with primary school aged children to enjoy the village and bring a fresh view to the historic community.
The Hunt, which takes around an hour, leads participants through the village, noting points of interest and while giving nuggets of information about its history.
Chairman Steve Anderson, said: “We hope that everyone will enjoy the Hunt, seeing details around the village which they may not have noticed before.”
Along the route, residents can find two play areas as well as several cafes.
Although there is no physical ‘treasure’, Heswall Society say the satisfaction of having enjoyed and completed the walk, having learnt a bit more about the village and its history is the reward in itself.
The treasure hunt is free to everyone and booklets can be requested by emailing events@theheswallsociety.org.uk or downloaded from the Heswall Society website www.theheswallsociety.org.uk.
Answers to the quiz questions can also be found on the Society’s website and downloaded.
