A section of Telegraph Road (A540) has been closed this evening after sandstone fell onto the carriageway.
Wirral Council has advised that a full closure has been requested between Thurstaston roundabout (near the Cottage Loaf) and Caldy roundabout.
Contractors are currently working to remove the debris. The work is anticipated to take approximately 1 – 2 hours.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes until the road reopens.
