COULD you give Maisey the forever home she deserves?

The 13-year-old  Yorkshire Terrier is described as an independent older lady who knows what she likes!

Although she has settled happily into kennel life at Dogs Trust Merseyside, the charity's team hope this Older Age Pooch (OAP) will find a new loving home of her own very soon.

She would like to be the only pet in the home as she likes her own space when it’s time to chill out, and she would prefer to live with one adult as she makes strong attachments to her human friends.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Maisey loves to be around people but doesn't like to be made a fuss of, so she is looking for an owner who won't ask too much of her and will give her her space when she needs it.

"Like all of us as we get older, we sometimes prefer to have some time to relax and do our own thing!"

Maisey is happy to take a walk and doesn’t mind enjoying herself alongside canine companions who are of a similar size to herself, but being very small she can find larger dogs overwhelming.

Maisey isn’t used to spending more than an hour or two by herself so would like her new owner to be able to spend as much time with her as possible, particularly whilst she settles into her retirement home.
