A popular plant fair will return to Ness Botanic Gardens for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ness Botanic Gardens are welcoming green fingered visitors to the Plant Hunters’ Fair on Sunday, September 5 from 10am to 4pm.

The fair attracts the best and most interesting nurseries with a fabulous mix of easy-to-grow garden favourites or more unusual plants for garden experts.

Plant Hunters’ Fairs organiser, Martin Blow said: “We are so pleased to be back at this lovely venue.

“Now’s the time to make the most of the late summer sun and get out and enjoy your garden and Plant Hunters’ Fairs are a great place to pick up some plants to add some late colour to your garden or even to get ahead for next year with bulbs and plants to get planted now for next year’s colour.”

Plant Hunters’ Fairs was set up by Martin Blow and Janet Blow in 2007 with their nurseries being run by small family businesses – including RHS medallists.

Martin added: “If you need some advice to help you choose then there are nursery folk on hand to help, each an expert in their field with years of knowledge and experience, and full of helpful tips, so why not pop in and pick up some wonderful, traditionally grown plants from these family run nurseries.”
