Cast rehearse for Off the Ground Theatre's production of 'The Adventures of Robin Hood'

This has included working with emerging talent across Merseyside.

An OFG spokesman told the Globe: ''It's been a tricky 16 months or so for all theatres across the UK, with many having struggled beyond reckoning.

''As things ease up, OTG couldn’t be more pleased to finally be taking another production on our much-loved summer tour of the north west.

''A combination of Covid and Brexit means that our usual Irish leg is out of the question for this summer at least, but that hasn’t dampened any spirits as we come roaring toward our tour of The Adventures of Robin Hood.

''Our family-friendly adventure story is full of laughs and epic fights, just as an OTG show should be.''

Founded in 1994, Off the Ground Theatre has taken outdoor shows on tours of the UK and wider Europe for more than 20 years. From the writings of Shakespeare to Terry Pratchett.
