A much loved community hall has reopened its doors after 16 months of closure.

Now Heswall Hall is hoping to capitalise on its recent refurbishment and a newly installed state of the art sound and light system to drive awareness of everything the venue has to offer - and re-establish itself back at the heart of its community.

The first events since the pandemic forced the hall’s closure in March 2020 have already been held and included a successful Farmer’s Market, a Three Bands Live evening and a popular educational workshop for little ones, Teach Rex.

“Feedback has been brilliant,” said the hall's trustees in a statement.

“And there is so much more to come. We’re thrilled to be working with our new partners, The Blind Pig and Peninsular Catering.

“With our new sound and light offering and our fully equipped stage - one of the largest in Wirral - we are determined to cement our place as a major venue for music, theatre, cinema, stage productions and all types of events.”

The hall is also thrilled to be welcoming back its regular community groups and users while the ever popular Matinee Cinema will also make a welcome return. Look out too for Ballroom Blitz - a chance to dance the afternoon away on the hall's stunning sprung floor.

The trustee's added: “We know how much our regular users have missed us - and we them - so it’s wonderful to see old friends coming back through the door.”

Now in its tenth year as a community trust, the landmark building will, over the coming months, play host to a whole programme of events and entertainment as well as offering flexible, warm and safe surroundings for all types of celebrations from weddings to Christenings, as well as formal business meetings.
