The NHS vaccination bus returns to Wirral today, as the push to get as many of the borough's residents fully vaccinated continues.
The jab bus will be stopping at Leasowe Leisure Centre, 88 Twickenham Dr, Wirral CH46 1PF, from 1pm until 6pm.
A ‘family friendly’ pop up vaccination clinic will also be running at Seacombe Children’s Centre, St Paul's Rd, Wallasey CH44 7AN, tomorrow (Friday 23 July) from 9am until 2pm.
The walk-in vaccination clinics provide Wirral residents with an alternative and convenient way to access the vaccine, without the need to make an appointment.
The clinics are open to anyone aged 18+. First and second doses of both AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines are available. There must be a minimum of eight weeks between first and second doses.
Approximately 863 people were vaccinated on board during the bus’ previous visit to Wirral at Victoria Park and Turner Street car park, last week.
Anyone not able to attend the clinics above can book their vaccination appointment in one of the following ways:
- Visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or call 119 to book an appointment at a different venue (you can also use this website/phone number to book your second dose).
- Walk-in to one of Wirral’s GP-led or pop up vaccination clinics. Dates and times of walk in clinics can be found on the CCG website.
- Book an appointment at one of Wirral’s GP-led vaccination clinics by calling your GP practice.
