After four successful days of delivering Covid jabs using the vaccination bus in Birkenhead, the team moves to Wallasey next week.

The vaccination group from Arno & North Coast Alliance at Birkenhead Medical Building will be at Heart of Egremont Community and Heritage Centre on Monday, July 19, from 9am until 2pm.

There is no need for an appointment, anyone over the age of 18 years can come along to have their vaccination.

Dr Abhi Mantgani, lead for the service, said: “Our team has given over 80,000 vaccinations to date and we are excited to work in partnership with the Heart of Egremont team to bring this service closer to people.

"The surest way to return to normality is to ensure the vast majority of our population are vaccinated.

"The pandemic is not over and the positive case rates are increasing, so I urge people to come and have their vaccine to protect themselves, their family and friends."

Based on national guidance, both Pfizer and Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccines will be available.

There is also an option to have your second dose as long as it has been at least eight weeks since the first injection.

Another walk-in session will take place at Seacombe Children’s Centre on Friday, July 23, between 9am and 2pm.
