People in Wirral will once again be able to get a first coronavirus vaccination without appointment this weekend.

Labelled ‘Grab a jab’ weekend, the NHS in Wirral is encouraging adults of all ages to get their vaccinations at one of the borough's GP-led walk-in sites, making it easier and more convenient than ever for people who haven’t yet had their vaccine to come forward without needing to book an appointment in advance.

Residents are encouraged to come forward, even if they do not have an NHS number or registration with a GP. Those who have questions about the vaccine before having it will be able to speak to a member of staff first.

The walk-in sites offer a chance for younger people aged 18-24, who began to receive their invitations this week, to get vaccinated quickly and easily.

It is also an opportunity for people who may have been invited for their jab previously but haven’t yet had the chance for whatever reason, to get vaccinated this weekend.
