WIDNES Vikings faded in the second half against the York City Knights to succumb 35-14 at the DCBL Stadium.
York's Sam Scott opened the scoring, and added to it with a Kieran Dixon penalty.
Widnes responded with an Adam Lawton try and Ste Tyrer conversion.
Bikings hit the front when Jake Spedding put Jack Owens into space from inside the Vikings’ 20. In the next play Joe Lyons sent Deon Cross over near to the posts. Tyrer's goal gave Vikings lead which he made into six points at half time with a penalty.
York levelled through a Ben Jones-Bishop try.
After a tight 15 minutes, Knights went in front when Danny Washbrook went over.
Two further visitors tries came from Mikey Lewis as York pulled away to take the spols.
