A German beer brewery sits at the heart of plans to create a brand new exciting fan park at Tranmere Rovers.

But supporters of the Prenton Park club will be given a full explanation of the proposed plans first.

A consultation, which will take place at the stadium tomorrow (Saturday, May 15) from 12pm-4pm, will allow those in attendance to thoroughly understand and see the draft proposals.

Tranmere Rovers said: "The trust and the club would like to hear the views of local residents and supporters on the plans and the consultation gives them an opportunity to provide input."

As part of the proposals, the club has made an agreement in principle for a partnership with German Kraft, who propose to install a micro brewery on site in the new fan park.

Ben Harrison, Tranmere Rovers Trust Chairman, said: “We realise how successful and much loved the current fan park is, but it is coming to the end of its life and so we wanted to create a new building which can accommodate more people.

"However, we also wanted one which is sited further away from local residents and one which is sound proofed, to minimise disruption to our neighbours.

“We welcome as much input as possible and would be delighted to see lots of local residents and supporters this Saturday.”

Tranmere's existing supporters tent came into use during the club's three year period in the Nation League and has remained a popular meeting point for fans both before games and post-match ever since.

It became a huge hit with supporters during Rovers' double promotion run from the National League to League One, when first team players mingled freely with supporters to celebrate their success together.
