There are no coronavirus patients occupying NHS beds in Wirral hospitals, latest figures show.

NHS England releases data about hospital occupancy on a weekly basis and today's report confirms that up to May 11, there are no inpatients with Covid-19 at Wirral University Teaching Hospital.

Seven days earlier there was a single inpatient with the virus but that figure dropped to zero on May 8 and has remained so since.

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre also has no patients with Covid up to May 11.

It has now been 18 days since Wirral University Teaching Hospital had more than one inpatient with Coronavirus in its care on any given day.
