CAN you give football-loving Baz the home he is longing for?

The six-year-old Border Collie had lived in the same home all his life but sadly his owner passed away, and so he has found himself at Dogs Trust Merseyside in need of a new home.

When he first arrived at the rehoming centre Baz was not surprisingly unsettled, but the team soon found the way to his heart - football.

He is fantastic at football and will play for as long as possible with his two-legged friends; now he is rarely seen without a football close by.

Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside Manager, said: "Baz has led quite a sheltered life, but he is getting used to the joys of heading out and about for a walk and he is growing in confidence.

"He will need a patient family who will let him settle in at his own pace and come to them when he's ready.

"If they have a ball to hand, it won't take long to build a bond!

"He'd suit a quiet home where he is the only dog and where people will be around most of the time as he isn't used to being left on his own.

"He could live with older teenagers but before he heads home he will need to meet his family a few times at the centre to start to build a bond.

"He is a lovely boy who has been through a lot recently, so we'd be so pleased to find him a loving home soon."

The rehoming centre is still closed to members of the public but if you think you could give Baz the home he deserves, please call 0151 3181339 or go to www.dogstrust.org.uk
