Large sword found hidden in alley way
A large sword has been retrieved after it was found in an alley way by police in Tranmere.
Police were patrolling the areas of Elmswood Road and Harrowby Road where they found the weapon hidden.
Posting on Facebook, Wirral Police said: “The item will now be destroyed and thankfully did not fall into the wrong hands.”
As part on an on-going operation across Merseyside, local officers from Bebington have also seized an electric scooter which was being ridden illegally on roads in the Birkenhead area.
