IT'S not the sort of weather you expect in Wirral at this time of year ...
But Globe readers have sent in their pictures of this morning's hail storm.
Sally Cashen shot a short video (see above) of the hail in Banks Road, West Kirby.
She told the Globe: "I work at Lunts the Greengrocers, people were huddled under our awning, the hail was massive and really painfu!".
Basil Stephens captured this winter scene further along the road.
And Carole Carter took this picture (below) of the hail in West Kirby ..

Commenting on the hail shower, Fiona Patterson-Cheek said on Globe's Facebook page: "I remember snow in May one year back in the late 1970s or early 1980s on the Wirral."
Sandra Diffin remarked: "Snow. Cannot believe happened suppose to be spring."
