Liverpool entrance to the Queensway Tunnel
THE Queensway Tunnel is partially closed due to a police incident on the Liverpool to Birkenhead lane.
An alert from travel monitors INRIX said: "Queensway Birkenhead Tunnel out of town closed due to police incident from Liverpool to Birkenhead.
"The road has been closed since Tuesday evening."
It is the second time in 24 hours that the tunnel has been partially closed.
Last night's closure followed an incident involving a large vehicle that had struck some fixtures within the tunnel causing damage.
