LEO is looking for a loving home of his own.

He has found himself at Dogs Trust Merseyside after his owners had to make the difficult decision to part with him when a change in their circumstances meant they could no longer keep him.

He was anxious at first but has settled well into a foster home and is enjoying his home comforts. When meeting new people he likes to take his time to get to know them but if given a few tasty treats and treated gently, he soon starts to show his personality.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Leo is looking for a quiet, adult only household as he can find a busy environment quite stressful and he would like to be the only pet.

"He loves being with people but would prefer to be walked in quieter areas where he won’t come across many dogs as he can be quite nervous of them.

"He was a much loved dog and he has gone through a lot recently so we'd love to find him a new home soon. We are sure he will settle in really quickly and he'll be a great canine companion."

Leo reacts to other dogs when he's out and about so his foster carers are working with him to help him be able to relax and enjoy his walks.

His new family will need to continue with this training.
