A waterfront independent market and artisan retail hub is set to open on land near Woodside ferry terminal building this weekend.

The Independent Market @Woodside is described as a space where "independent entrepreneurs and talented makers" across the borough can showcase and sell their products and services, not only to local people but visitors from across the region.

It is a collaboration between Woodside Area CIC, who developed the existing Woodside Ferry Village and Independent Wirral, an organisation supporting local independent businesses, retailers and artisans.

The launch weekend ‘sold out’ in a matter of days.

Doors open on Saturday at 11am and the market will run across the Bank holiday weekend from 11am -7pm daily and then weekly every Thursday to Sunday.

During key school holiday dates the market will then move to seven days a week, with a focus on fun for the whole family.

Organisers say the market will be ‘packed with award-winning local businesses and unique goods’ aimed to inspire shoppers and add an exciting new element to the Woodside Ferry Village food and drink hub.
