A WIRRAL man charged with causing the death of a teenager by dangerous driving in Upton has appeared in court this morning.
Leo Meek, of West Way, Moreton, is also charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The charges relate to a collision on Manor Drive on Monday night, involving 15-year-old Jack Jones from Wallasey, who passed away at the scene.
Leo Meek, 22, pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene after a collision occurred.
But he was not asked to enter a plea to the other more serious charge.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Liverpool Crown Court on May 27.
