AN investigation is underway to identify the body of a man found in a van near New Brighton promenade this afternoon.
Police were called to King's Parade following reports of concern for a man in a vehicle.
Officers and paramedics attended just before 3.40pm, and the man in his 40s was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious at this time.
Enquires are ongoing to formally identify the man and inform his next of kin.
