A MAN has been charged with theft after an elderly woman's bank card was stolen during an incident in Birkenhead.
At around 4.30pm on Tuesday (April 13) a woman in her 70s was at Ableworld Mobility and Stairlifts in Conway Street when she was approached by a man who reportedly asked her to change money.
The victim later realised that her card had been stolen.
CCTV enquiries were carried and a man was arrested.
Viorel Voinea, 42, of Grove Road, Wallasey Village has been charged with theft from a person. He will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today.
