A Bromborough based exporter has donated £2,500 to a local dementia charity after fundraising efforts.
Company, Smylies donated the money to Dementia Together Wirral after selecting them as their chosen charity in 2019.
The money raised will be used towards the operating costs of the charity which will allow them to continue providing vital support to people living with dementia across Wirral.
Chris Smylie, Managing Director at Smylies, said: “We have been so pleased to support Dementia Together for the past year, especially during such difficult times for everyone.
“All the team at Dementia Together Wirral do such a wonderful job and we are so lucky to have this brilliant charity operating locally.”
The Smylies team raised the funds through taking part in team marathons, bike rides and virtual duathlon from Lands End to John O’Groats.
Allan Grogan, Dementia Together Wirral Chair of Trustees, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Smylies has chosen to support us again this year.
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of this local family business.
“Once we are able to get back to offering our usual activities, this donation will help to cover the cost of providing monthly musical groups, day coach trips and craft sessions.”
