A man has been charged with a number of offences after an incident in Birkenhead.
Anthony Cullen, 58, of Argyle Street in the town has been charged with possession of a sharply pointed article in a public place, section 4a public order and use of threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour following an incident Cleveland Street last night.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wirral magistrates court.
