A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Wallasey this afternoon.
Merseyside Police confirmed that the incident occurred on Leasowe Road, outside Tranmere Rovers' training ground, Solar Campus, at around 1.25pm today.
Emergency services were called to the scene after the rider of a Yamaha YZF - a man in his 30s - collided with a Vauxhall Meriva, forcing the closure of the road.
The man has been taken to hospital, but his injuries are understood to not be serious.
As a result, Leasowe Road was able to reopen at 2.45pm.
No other people were hurt in the incident.
