A Wirral-based business owner is expanding his e-commerce agency globally and growing its senior team, following a spate of new client wins including local sports apparel brand, Castore.
Dan Sheard, from Heswall, co-founded e-commerce agency, Velstar in 2016. Headquartered in Liverpool, the company specialises in the design, build and optimisation of Shopify Plus websites that help online retailers achieve success.
As well as offering a full suite of design and development services, Velstar also delivers digital marketing support for its clients.
Managing Director of Velstar, Dan Sheard said: “Over the past 12 months, Velstar has grown significantly. In fact, it’s been a record-breaking year for us. We put this down to the quality of work we are producing for our clients, our amazing client wins and our teams continued hard work to exceed expectations. We are always innovating, we never standstill.
Velstar has been growing at a yearly rate of 70% as it expands its base UK e-commerce market, adding international customers in mainland Europe and the US.
To drive further growth and bolster its offer, Velstar has appointed a Finance and Operations Director and Head of Client Services.
Holly Roberts brings with her over 10 years of experience in creative and digital agency operations. She joins Velstar from the brand engagement agency, Owl Live.
As Finance and Operations Director, Holly will head up the operational side of the business, ensuring Velstar maintain a seamless delivery of projects.
Meanwhile, Katie Evans joins as Head of Clients Services, having been attracted to Velstar’s impressive client roster and vibrant culture. She will help build on existing client relationships and support the firm's global reach.
Now a team of over 20+ ecommerce experts, Velstar has ambitious plans to double its team size across all departments and launch an office in Miami by the end of 2021.
Speaking about the new appointments, Dan added: “We are very excited to welcome Holly and Katie to our dynamic team. Hiring them was the crucial next step we needed to make to support the continued growth of the agency.
