Katrina Bury, head of Charity said: "Almost all of our fundraising events were cancelled in 2020 and our charity income was impacted by the effects of the pandemic.

"As restrictions are lifted, so many of our supporters have told us they're ready to get together safely to raise money again.

"Of course, we are urging people to adhere to whatever government restrictions are still in place when they hold their Big Birthday BBQ, but we also hope that it’s a fabulous opportunity for people to see their loved ones, perhaps for the first time in a long time. We know that’s really something to celebrate.

"Anybody can take part, whether it’s a barbecue for your bubble or your first social gathering, we hope that it’s a perfect way to get together and celebrate the lives of those who have survived cancer, remember lost loved ones, or just a great excuse to raise money while enjoying time outdoors."

The Charity is asking those taking part to raise £25 or as much as they can to help support it’s work in the future.
