ANOTHER four deaths with coronavirus have been recorded by in a Wirral Hospital, NHS England has confirmed.

The fatalities, which occurred on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, take the total number of patients who have died with covid-19 at Wirral University Teaching Hospital - which runs Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge - since the pandemic began to 600.

Nationally, a further 372 people, who tested positive for the virus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 81,854.

Patients were aged between 28 and 99 years old. All except 16 (aged 44 to 99 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from December 9 to February 22 with the majority being on or after February 14.

Their families have been informed.
