FORMER M&S cleaner Doris Davies celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at a nursing home in Wallasey this week.
The mother-of-two, grandmother of four and great-grandmother of five had worked until retirement at Marks & Spencer in Wallasey as a cleaner for a number of years.
After this she had a part-time job as a cleaner until well into her 70s, riding her push bike to and from work.
She was married to Joe for more than 60 years and had the telegram from the Queen to mark that occasion they lived in Wallasey all their lives.
She now lives at Belvidere nursing home and celebrated the milestone 100th birthday on Tuesday.

Joining the party, via a window because of social distancing measures, were daughters Barbara and Irene, grandson Keith, granddaughter Sue, great grandchildren Kim and Amy, great great grandson Joseph, son-in-law Graham and grandson-in-law Tommy.
She has two daughters Barbara and Irene; grandchildren Keith, Sue, Simon and Sarah, and great-grandchildren Kim, Amy, Ella, Lilly and Heath and one on the way and great-great-grandchild Joseph.

Granddaughter Sue Hickman told the Globe: "Doris lived independently in her own house until November 2020 then unfortunately after a few falls and a short stay in hospital she now resides at Belvidere nursing home.
"On behalf of the family I want to say a big thank you to staff at Belvidere nursing home for making her special day"
